August 2008 - Our Red One Workshop was a fantastic success! We had 120 Industry professionals attend our Red One Workflow event. The Evening consisted of a 1080p projection of our stunning 8min reel of footage BFF has aquired over the last year, and a general camera overview and workflow presentation as well as a great talk from Dominic Carola (former Disney Animator) on his short film Land of Bog being shot by BFF with the new Red One Camera System his presentation showed examples of going from storyboards to the live action shots all while on set.
July 2008 - BFF has been working with former Disney animator Dominic Carola of a Red One Feature called "Land of Bog". Footage from the project was shown at the recent Red One workshop. For more info see the website - click logo.

Mid-December 2007 - Best Friend Films assisted with a "EA Sports Simulator" for broadcast - a virtual playbook complete with 3D models that move and react to the host of the show!
"Disney in December" 2007 - Best Friend Films headed up a two day that followed Canadian families around the differant Disney theme parks for the CBC to air on Xmas day.
Late November 2007 - Elephants never forget Best Friend Films! Here is a shot of the elephants being off loaded and taken to the Tampa fair grounds where the circus trains for 4 weeks. This is for a new reality show called "The Greatest Show On Earth" that Best Friend Films shot through Thanksgiving. This was a seven day shoot.
Late November 2007 - This is from our travel to Turks and Caicos to the lovely Beaches Resort and Spa to film a music video for"Kidz Bop".
Late November 2007 - This shoot was for WEBEOC, which is a solution that links local, state, federal, volunteer, private and even worldwide sources together, helping to facilitate coordination and decision-making for planning, training and emergency response, recovery and continuity of government and business operations. Very cool looking software - works kind of like what you may of seen in the film "Minority Report". There software was crucial to the rescue ops on 9-11.

November 7th, 2007 - Red Cameras take over North Carolina! That's right - on the weekend of November 3-4, 2007 Best Friend Films brought in a RED camera from California to shoot test footage in North Carolina. The images were absolutely stunning to say the least - as shooting commenced all over the state. We shot trains, NASCAR, theme parks, landscape, city skylines, kids, adults, animals - anything and everything was captured. Details to follow. Click here to see stills pulled from the RED footage.
We brought out the big guns on this one - Keaton Bicknell (Gaffer's son) was probably the youngest Red Operator to date the weekend of November 3-4, 2007 - as he poses with the RED fitted with a 25-250mm HR Angenieux lense owned by Best Friend Films.
Added October 16th, 2007 - It has been a worldwind as Best Friend Films invaded the Atlanta, Georgia area starting production of a commercial documentary to be released in June 2008.

We truly are excited about new things coming up with BFF. With new offices in North Carolina, new partners, new equipment on the way, a new website and new ideas (the most valuable thing in the industry) we are looking forward to a fantastic 2008.
Staffer Kevin Lang has been working with Stacy Markoe for the last five years on a fantastic military-themed documentary about the first troop of our country that is still in service today. Stacy's great, great and (more great) grandfather Abraham Markoe was the first captain of this troop and created the first American flag and also served under Washington during the revolution.

Staffer Scott Romine spent another month in California working stuntman/writer/director Corey Eubanks on a 12 minute promotional DVD for a new type of Auto Racing found at www.autobarrelracing.com The video was hosted by Robert Patrick (Terminator 2, Walk the Line) with narration by Bob Eubanks (The NewlyWed Game). Staffer Kevin Lang shot a segment of Maximal Rider's Video Calender. The shoot featured Pitbull custom chopper bikes and Maxium/Playboy models. Kevin also started production on a Playboy Playmate's collectible DVD featuring model Latissha Kline.

Staffer Scott Romine assisted with promotional efforts for a film called "The Civilization of Maxwell Bright" starring Patrick Warburton. Website was completed by Scott www.maxbrightmovie.com and the movie starts in October in Los Angeles theaters. June 2007 - Staffer Kevin Lang shot a pilot television show.
Spring 2007 - Staffer Scott Romine spent all of the month of March in California shooting and do all of the final editing for a television pilot produced by the Eubanks Entertainment Group.
